On two-variable fuzzy-PI controller for use in aeroengine control system

Abstract

Considering a certain aeroengine as control object, the method of dual variable fuzzy control based on fuzzy reasoning and properties of fuzzy controller were studied. To improve response characteristics and reduce static error, the new dual variable fuzzy control algorithm and fuzzy PI controller were proposed, in which inputs of the controller are increment error of rotatory speed of the low pressure rotor and increment error of temperature after the turbine, while outputs are volume of fuel supply and area of tail nozzle. The simulation results have shown that the method has good tracking ability and static decoupling property, which means the control method has quite good robustness. Compared with no PI method, the method has better response characteristics.
