Abstract

In some handset multifunctional mobile systems, antenna used in both Global Positioning System (GPS) and Family Radio Service (FRS) are needed. A new antenna, combining microstrip antenna with monopole antenna, works in GPS-L1 band and FRS 2.21 GHz is investigated in this paper. The antenna can work as microstrip antenna and monopole antenna at the same time. The antenna is easy to be fabricated and robust in application.
