Abstract

Maintenance policy has significant effects on the demand of spare part and the total cost of maintenance. In this paper, the multi-single inventory control model of spare part is considered based on the group replacement policy. The mathematical model and corresponding calculation algorithm are proposed according to the problem description. An example is introduced and the simulation result shows that the preventive replace interval can affect the warehouses selection and the total cost; holding cost per item affects the total cost greatly; also, enlarging the rated stock of warehouses which is not enough and can decrease the supply cost of the system.
