Abstract

A numerical analysis coupled with an effective ejection model was performed to study the effect of ejection from the symmetry slot of trailing edge for a turbine blade. The process of mixing and interference were investigated by the distribution of velocity, total pressure and outlet angle. The calculation results show that the mixing between ejection and wake plays an important role near the training edge. By passing some distance downstream, the mixing is mainly observed between wake and main flow. The flow structure inside the wake and its floating process are affected in some extent by the ejection from symmetry slot of trailing edge for a turbine blade.
