Abstract

The microstructure evolution of a TC4 titanium alloy during isothermal deformation has been investigated with the help of the quantitative analysis technology. According to the experimental results, a prediction model of the microstructure evolution during the isothermal deformation of a TC4 titanium alloy has been established by fuzzy-neural network. The variation of grain size and volume fraction of a phase during the isothermal deformation corresponding to deformation parameters (deformation temperature, true strain and initial strain-rate) have been applied to the fuzzy-neural network as the training data. The comparison between the experimental results and the predicted shows that the model presented in this paper is feasible and is much more accurate than the others.
