Abstract

DNA microarray have the potential to make an enormous impact on biomedical field. The microarray image analysis is an important aspect of microarray technology. The aim of this paper is to present a fast and accurate set of algorithms for DNA microarray images processing using morphological operators. The approach uses image projection which has modified by mathematical morphology as spot griding. An adapt threshold segmentation method is used to segment the spot from the background. The spot intensity is extracted based on the noise model. The performance of the algorithm has been compared with the experiment result, showing its robustness and precision.
