Abstract

In order to improve the reliability of the system, a dual-redundancy high-voltage brushless DC motor based on 270V is designed. According to the structural features of dual-redundancy high-voltage brushless DC motor, the mathematical model is built up, and the calculation formula of torque is derived when the motor work in the dual-redundancy. This paper set up the electromagnetic field model and magnetic-thermal coupling model of a dual-redundancy high-voltage brushless DC motor, carry out the simulation of the motor, and comparatively analyze the EMF, torque and speed when the motor work between single winding and dual-redundancy. The simulation results show that: the Dual-redundancy high-voltage brushless DC motor can achieve same dynamic characteristics with single winding motor, and the torque is twice. Meanwhile, it greatly improve the reliability of the system.
