Abstract
In this paper, large disk rolling experiments in reformed radial-axial ring mill were carried out, and base on the constant-volume relationship and deformation coordination, a new blank design method was developed, and the formulas for calculating blank sizes were given. In the experiment the qualified large disks were successfully formed, and the blank design played an important role to roll the qualified disk. According to blank design method, one blank of gas turbine compressor disk was calculated, and it was similar to the experimental blank, which proved that the method is applicable.
