Abstract

Identification of a birdbody constitutive model and its parameters, which is very difficult, is an important factor to affect the numerical simulation result of an aircraft windshield against bird strike. In order to improve the simulation accuracy, an integrated numerical simulation technique which can combine the model identification with the numerical simulation is proposed. It puts emphasis on formulating the optimization method to identify the birdbody constitutive model and its parameters and specifies the analysis procedure with an example. The new technique improves the coupled solving theory for the finite element numerical simulation of bird strike and provide a reference for study on aircraft structures against bird strike.
