Influences of temperature and field on Jc of Bi-2223/Ag multifilamentary tapes

Abstract

A temperature control system was established to measure Je in a LN2 temperature range (72 K~90 K). A sample of Bi-2223/Ag multifilamentary tape was immersed in LN2, and the desired temperature of the sample was attained by means of changing its saturated vapor pressure. The Je(£,T) characteristics of Bi-2223/Ag multifilamentary tapes(19 and 37 filaments) in a LNj temperature range(77 K~90 K) were measured using the measuring system.
