Abstract

The springback occurs consequentially after unloading which acutely reduces the efficiency of tube bending production. In order to study on the influence of parameters on springback angle of bent tube, first a FEM model for tube bending has been established using the elasto-plasticity FEM software of ANSYS, then it has been validated by applying it to the bending simulation of the stainless steel tube and by comparing the results with those from experiment, last the springback laws of some process and material parameters have been analyzed. The results show that: the springback angle of bent tube increases with the bending angle, the gap between mandrel and tube, and the hardening coefficient, but decreases with the hardenability value.
