Abstract

The unidirectional solidification method was used in order to grow YBCO samples. Processing parameter of high quality YBCO rods by unidirectional solidification method was investigated. The dependence of microstructure on the traveling rate and dispersive distributed 211 particles were studied. The results show that. high quality YBCO rods can be got by unidirectional solidification technique and high quality slices can be obtained with the lower velocity. It is observed from the analysis of the influence of the 211 particles on the growth of the YBCO to different content of 211 particles that tiny and even distribution of 211 particles can help the growth of YBCO.
