Abstract
This paper describes the fabrication of silver dendritic structures array, a technologically important material, by double template-assisted electrochemical deposition technique. The 2D colloidal polystyrene spheres were used as the primary template, and the 2D electrodeposited ordered porous ZnO film was used as the secondary template in this study. The silver dendritic structure array was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray analysis, and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The experiment results shows that the ordered degree of the silver dendritic structures is determined by the periodicity of the primary template, and the distance of the electrodes is the key factor to restrict the dendritic cell on the bottom of the ZnO bowl-like structure.
