Fabrication of textured (BiNa)0.5TiO3-BaTiO3 lead-free ceramics prepared by tape casting

Abstract

The textured (BiNa)0.5TiO3-BaTiO3 (NBT) ceramics was fabricated by tape-casting with the plated-like Bi2.5Na3.5Nb5O18 (BINN5) particles as template. Effects of the template content on the microstructure, the texture fraction of the ceramics were investigated. The results showed that the textured NBT lead-free ceramics was successfully prepared by tape casting processing. The texture fraction were increased with the increase content of BINN5. The texture fraction had a maximum value as the sintering temperature was 1225°C and the optimize content of template was 20%.
