Abstract
The concept of engineering object is presented. Combined with application development of computer aided process planning system, the knowledge presentations, analysis, computation and reason process of intelligent expert system are described in detail. The key technology of system development is described. The sub-objects of engineering object are classified that can make the development of CAPP easier. An example of heat-treatment CAPP expert system based on engineering object is also given.
