Abstract
The optical properties of organic nonlinear crystal bezophenone grown using super-cooled melt method are experimentally researched in this paper. The principal refractive indices for 633nm wavelength at room temperature of this crystal are measured with minimum-deviation and interference methods respectively. From this, the negative optical biaxes structure is also experimentally defined. The optical transmission spectrum in the range from near ultraviolet to near infrared is also analyzed. It is shown, this organic crystal-bezophenone grown using super-cooled melt method has quite equal and high transmittance in the spectrum range from 400nm to 1500nm.
