Abstract

The uncertainty of shallow water environment has great influence on the estimation of the acoustic transfer function. To solve this problem, the correlation coefficient between the acoustic transfer functions is constructed as the objective function. Because there are usually many uncertain parameters that affect the acoustic transfer function, and the genetic algorithm is used to search the estimation of the acoustic transfer function. Compared with traditional traversal search, the genetic algorithm can effectively reduce the number of the environmental parameter sets to be searched, which grows exponentially with the number of uncertain parameters, thus significantly reduce the computational demand. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
