Abstract
The erosive property and principle of copper-infiltrated graphite as solid rocket motor (SRM) throat insert and tailpipe nozzle bushing were presented. Liquid copper still remains in graphite substrate under the condition of high-temperature and high-pressure. For this reason erosive effect is suppressed and the erosive property of KS-8 high-strength graphite improved.
