Abstract

Target echo signals are the main information source in underwater acoustic detection system. The reality and quantity of simulation for the echoes is the pivotal factor which restricts the real-time of the simulation system. It is very important to form a model which can meet the requirements of real-time and reality performance. An efficient simulation method of underwater target echo based on complex envelopes is presented. The method based on the complex envelopes of narrowband signals, which includes the influence of Doppler shift and frequency compensation in real system. New method can satisfy the requirements of real-time and reality in simulation system. It has been applied in an developed underwater acoustic countermeasure simulation system and the results show the correctness and validity for the new method.
