Abstract

To calibrate the cutting force coefficients in flat end milling, efficient algorithms are developed by using the nominal components extracted from the measured cutting forces. The advantage of the proposed algorithms lies in that the calibration procedure needs only a few cutting tests. The proposed approach is validated by the cutting of a very flexible cantilever plate.
