Abstract

The effects of lubricating-oil additives on the friction and wear properties of MC nylon-MC nylon friction pair were studied by MM-200 wear tester. It is found that chemical reaction is not involved between zinc dialkyldithiophosphace ( ZDDP ) contained in liquid paraffin and the frictional surfaces of MC nylon, and ZDDP exists on the frictional surfaces only by physical adsorption or chemical adsorption. The ZDDP adsorption film on the frictional surface has little effect on the wear resistance of the friction pair, but it has certain effect on the friction coefficient.
