Effect of V-modification on the structure of LiCo0.5Ni0.5O2 cathode material

Abstract

The effect of V-modification on the structure of LiCo0.5Ni0.5O2 cathode materials is studied. We first prepared LiCo0.5Ni0.5O2 by sol-gel method and modified it by V. The results show that with the increase of temperature and time of sintering the crystalline of LiCo0.5Ni0.5O2 will optimize. The modified V can not enter the crystal lattice of LiCo0.5Ni0.5O2 and exists in the form of Li3VO4, dispersing in the layered LiCo0.5Ni0.5O2, and affecting the crystal phase of LiCo0.5Ni0.5O2.
