Effect of different structures of DD6 single crystal specimen on thermal tensile properties

Abstract

The DD6 single crystal test-samples were prepared by selected-crystal method, and the tensile properties of different structures such as thin-wall tube and circular test-bar with [001] orientation have been tested at high temperature, the effects of different structures on tensile properties were studied with DD6 single crystal specimen. The results show that the [001] orientation tensile properties of thin-wall tube with diameter 6.0 mm were 6.7% higher than that with diameter 7.0 mm under different condition, and the [001] orientation tensile properties of thin-wall tube were 9.8% higher than the circular test-bar in the same condition. There are no apparent effects of the samples' structure on tensile properties. However, the properties are more obviously affected by the temperature and tensile rate.
