Abstract
The effect of contact thermal resistance (CTR) on the temperature of throat-insert was studied numerically and experimentally. The CTR of 4D in-plane C/C composite bonded with 5-II insulator was tested, and then the numerical model was established. The results show that the influence of contact pressure on CTR is significant, while the contact temperature has little effect. Under the same conditions of calculation, it is shown that the throat-insert temperature calculated with CTR is higher, while the temperature of insulator is lower than that without CTR.
