Durability simulation analysis of jet pipe servovalve

Abstract

The jet-pipe servovalve is widely used in the fields of aeronautics and astronautics; it is a kind of typical two-stage flow control electro-hydraulic servo-valve, whose performance will degradate due to work loads and environmental loads in practical use. The structure and working principle of jet-pipe servo-valve are introduced, the failure mechanism of weak item affecting jet-pipe serv-valve durability is analysed, the software simulation is conducted and the durability lifetime is calculated. The weak item's durability lives of the jet-pipe servo-valve are obtained with software simulation and theoretical calculation respectively. The results and their analysis show preliminarily that the jet-pipe servo-valve durability life meets its standard requirements. Software simulation and durability life calculation method can be used to predict similar durability lifetime and evaluate product's durability level; this, we believe, is useful for improving product's durability design.
