Abstract

Splitting spinning is one typically green and flexible forming technology. Due to its advantages of high quality, high precision, high efficiency and low cost, it can be widely applied in fields of aerospace, automobile, train, ship, energy, etc. This paper reviews the domestic and international state of splitting spinning, analyzes its forming characteristics and summarizes the potential failure modes. Furthermore, it points out the bottle-neck problems of splitting spinning, then discusses and prospects the key technologies in FE modeling.
