Abstract

Aim. To our knowledge, there is no paper in the open literature dealing with the design of a fault active handling system for disk array. Section 1 of the full paper explains such a design; its core is: "The disk array system is based on the composition of the module and the command implementation process, the implementation of the command is divided into six stages; when the fault address the initiative to obtain and monitor the implementation of the order process and the failure happened. When the fault occurs, the fault handling system is able to take the initiative to proactively deal with the fault." Section 2 is entitled evaluation and analysis; it evaluates the Raid controller in Ref. 2; it presents the test results in Figs. 4 and 5 and gives Table 1 to compare the performance of the Raid controller with an ordinary fault handling system with that of a Raid controller with our fault active handling system. On the basis of Figs. 4 and 5 and Table 1, we believe that our fault active handling system can significantly improve the reliability of the disk array system and facilitate the development.
