Abstract

An advanced Internet-based supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system frame for wind power plant is designed. The system can be used to implement the remote supervisory control and safe long-distance data transmission among different wind farms. Linking with various nodes on Internet, i.e. wind farms, supervisory control center and power network dispatch center via the virtual private network (VPN) technology has the feature of high quality-price ratio and good security. It is demonstrated that this frame is capable of fitting for the large-scale wind park construction in China and possesses good perspective in the field of wind power by research.
