Abstract
Infrared dynamic scene target simulator is the key equipment of hardware-in-the-loop simulation system for infrared guidance weapons, which plays an important role in the modern military industry. Taking imaging seeker hardware-in-the-loop simulation system of certain type of air to ground missile as the research object, the infrared dynamic scene target simulator based on the digital micro-mirror-device (DMD) was developed. To evaluate the system main technical specifications including resolution, contrast, minimum resolvable temperature difference and gray level, various DMD subsystems such as the signal decoding, image normalization, synchronization driving, pulse width modulation (PWM) were studied and designed. Real-time infrared scene was created by using Sensor-Vision module of the Vega. The final simulator has been tested on certain type of infrared missile seeker. The experiment results show that the system can satisfy all the technical specifications and present ideal results and high fidelity image.
