Abstract

It is rather worth investigating and simulating for the construction of oil system model in diverse flight conditions and steady states for design and troubleshooting purpose. The method for constructing aero engine oil system computational model that begins with eight of aero engine performance parameters based on characteristic models of different oil-parts has been presented, employing vector calculus and interpolation algorithm to replace iteration. Test computation for the model on condition that aero engine operates in maximum regime at sea level has been performed. The fact that the results of test computation consist with design data fairly with the errors between them within 5%, shows that the model is valid. Since the oil flow flowing into each bearing casing or gearbox varies with the pressure of relevant bearing casing or gearbox, the errors is caused by the hypotheses on pressure distribution of bearing casings or gearboxes. In order to promote computational precision of the model, it is necessary to construct computational model of aero engine internal air system.
