Abstract

Through introducing terrain information, the ground target tracking may be further improved because the constraints of the terrain information can decrease the target modeling uncertainties due to unexpected maneuvers. In this paper, combined interacting multiple model map-tuned variance Method (C-IMMMTV) is presented. The mew method combines the adoptively model adjusting and terrain information judgments, and can accurately match the practical motion of ground target. It also utilizes the historical accumulation of judgments to confirm the model matching results. Simulation results show that the new method outperforms than others by compared with Kalman filter (KF), map-tuned Variance method (MTV), and interacting multiple model method (IMM).
