Chaotic frequency hopping in underwater communication

Abstract

In order to enhance security of underwater communication, a method to realize the pattern of frequency hopping is proposed. Performance of the hopping pattern generated by quantized logistic chaotic sequence is studied. Feasibility of chaotic hopping technique used in short-range acoustic underwater communication is verified by simulated results in balance property, correlation and hopping gap.
