Abstract

Facing to capacity planning for mixed production line which is a complicated problem, a directed weighted network was constructed to describe the complex processing relationships among working stations. Anyway the stability of mixed production line is the most important problem for capacity planning. Therefore the whole status and the key vertices should be obtained by means of topological characteristics of network architecture. And then the capacity redundancy and resources configuration will be planned in order to avoid the catastrophic failure of the whole production line due to accidental disable of vertices. Finally, an actual production was introduced as an example. According to the small-world property shown in the network, the capacity is planned through controlling the working load of those vertices with high degree.
