Abstract
The corrosion behavior of β-type alloy Ti-13Nb-13Zr, α+β-type alloy Ti-6Al-4V and α-type alloy TA2 in Ringer's solution was investigated by means of electrochemical measuring technology. It is shown that the corrosion resistance property lowers in the order of Ti-13Nb-13Zr, Ti-6Al-4V, and TA2. The element Nb, Zr added in pure Ti is easy to decrease the anodized activity and raise the surface passive effect compared with the element Al, V. After solid solution and aging treatment, the finer and stable secondary α phase and β phase are formed inside the Ti-13Nb-13Zr alloy, and thus the corrosion resistance property is better than the specimens after the other heat treatment.
