Abstract

Znic porphyrins and zinc phthalocyanines may mimic human olfactory receptors well. The paper presented a method of developing smell-seeing sensitive arrays by using Zn( H )TPP,Zn( H )OEP and Zn ( TJ )Pc as odour sensitive materials. The arrays were then equipped in a self-designed smell-seeing electronic nose system to recognize six organic amines. The testing digital image response data was analyzed and shown in color space and spectral space respectively. The results showed that the response patterns of the smell-seeing electronic nose upon the six amines were highly special to each other and those analytes with similar molecular structures were clustered together. All the recognitions could be achieved in two minutes.
