Abstract

Angular glint is an important parameter of radar targets' electromagnetic scattering characteristics. It seriously reduces guidance accuracy of illumination guidance radar and missiles' homing head antenna. Theoretical simulation of angular glint for complex targets is discussed in this paper. First, the amplitude and phase of a complex practical target's scattering field are computed by Graphical Electromagnetic Computing algorithm. Then, the angular glint of the target is computed by the Poynting vector method. The simulation results verify the correctness and efficiency of the method.
