Abstract

Input impedance and radiation patterns of conformal fractal microstrip antennas are investigated by the method of moments in this paper. Among the conformal fractal antennas, Sierpinski gasket is chosen as the antenna's radiating patch. The patch is mounted on a dielectric-coated metallic cylinder. Characterization of curvature's effects on the input impedance and radiation characteristics of these conformal microstrip antennas are analyzed.
