Abstract

Pointing out at the beginning of the full paper that Refs.5 through 8 are, we believe, inefficient in that, due to mismatching that is almost unavoidable, the quality of the detected edge of SAR image often cannot be ensured, we propose an efficient despeckling method using stationary tree-structured wavelet transform and Bayesian wavelet estimator. The core of our efficient method is explained in section 3 and section 4 of the full paper; eq.(10) nd (13) are used for implementing our despeckling algorithm. The experimental results, given in Fig.2 and Tables and 2 in the full paper, show preliminarily that our method has better image despeckling effect and edge preserving capability compared with other methods such as Gamma MAP (GMAP) filter and stationary wavelet transform (SWT).
