Abstract

A method for locating the wideband acoustic signal in the deep ocean is proposed in this paper. This method is based on the frequency-amplitude interference characteristic modulated by the muti-paths arrivals received by a single hydrophone. The spatial anisotropy of this interference is derived in this paper, and source localization is performed by a matching method. Both simulation and experimental results confirm this localization method.
