Abstract
The airfoil design of a flapping wing is lucubrated from the perspective of airfoil design based on Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD). A 3-D structured grid adapting for simulation of viscous flow over flapping wing based on the transfinite interpolation is developed, and the preconditioned 3-D compressible unsteady Navier-Stokes equations are employed by finite volume method and dual-time stepping method. As the computational results are in better agreement with the references data, the method given in this paper is correct and reliable. On this basis, the influences of the correlative parameters of a mixed foil introduced by the reference which effect on the aerodynamic characteristics of the flapping wing are analyzed.
