Agent-based self-adaptive job global migration in grid system

Abstract

Job migration is essential to guarantee the Quality of Services of Grid jobs and the high efficiency of grid system. Based on the feature of grid system, analyzing traditional process migration technology, a self-adapting job global migration model based on agent is presented, a self-adapting global determining principle about migration object and time, monitoring and controlling information of job migrated are given to solve key problems with regard to job migration well under grid. Preliminary experiment results and applications to Northwestern Polytechnical University Campus Computational Grid confirm the validity of this model.
