Abstract

To solve the asynchronization problem between the logistics flow and the information flow in the assembly execution process, assembly Agents were proposed to encapsulate assembly tasks and data, and Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) tags were adopted to identify materials. Through verifying materials by RFID tags, assembly Agents were triggered to be executed, so as to realize on-spot 3D assembly operation guide and quality check guide. When an assembly task was completed, on-spot data were brought back by retrieval mechanism of the assembly Agent. A case study showed that the dynamic matching mechanism between assembly tasks and materials was achieved, and dynamic monitoring and control ability of assembly execution process was enhanced.
