Abstract

Effects of ageing temperature, ageing time on microstructure, micro-hardness and electric conductivity of rapidly solidified Cu-Cr-Sn-Zn alloy were investigated. The micro-hardness and electric conductivity of the alloy are 100 HV and 20.9 MS/s, respectively, due to strengthening effects of fine grain. Aged at 500°C for 15 min, the micro-hardness and electric conductivity are 170 HV and 37.1 MS/m, respectively, resulted from the precipitated dispersive and intensive Cr phase improving the strength and conductivity of the rapidly solidified alloy.
