Abstract

A new type of wideband magnetoelectric dipole antenna is introduced in this article. The antenna consists of a set of two inverted L metal structures, a Γ-shaped feeding probe, and a metal reflector ground. The proposed antenna has achieved an impedance bandwidth of 93.3% (1.92-4.72GHz). With a maximum gain of 8.03dBi at 3.0GHz. Moreover, the radiation pattern is stable from 1.92GHz to 4.72GHz with little distortion. The antenna is machined and measured, and the correctness of the design is discussed.
