Abstract

Striping is an important factor that influences the quality of Imaging Spectrometer data. In this paper, the main causes of stripe noises and the mean value distribution characteristics of noisy images were deeply analyzed. Based on the previous analysis, a new destriping method was proposed which well used wavelet transform with moment matching method. The new method is easily realized and could be applied to various Imaging Spectrometer images with stripe noises. The result of comparing the tested images and data indicated that the new method could preserve the quality of the images better and effectively remove stripe noises, moreover, it did better than the existed method.
