Abstract

Complicated and customized products (C&CP) are characterized by multi-variety, small batch, long design cycle, multiple manufacturing steps, high dispersion, and high quality requirements. Meanwhile, the stakeholders involving in design, manufacturing, operation and maintenance stages of the C&CP are independent from each other. As a result, the collaboration of business activity throughout the whole lifecycle stages is inefficient. To address this problem, a model-driven dynamic synchronization mechanism of design, manufacturing, operation and maintenance business activity for C&CP is proposed in this paper. Based on the intelligent modeling technologies of manufacturing resources and products, an integrated product design technology based on the MBD (Model Based Definition) is studied to respond to design change, production adjustment, operation and maintenance failure in a timely fashion, and to realize efficient collaboration of different business activities.
