Abstract
After rolling with different deformation of 60%, 75% and 90%, TA15 alloy was heat treated at 800, 850 and 930 ℃ for 15, 30, 45 and 60 min, respectively. The static globularization behavior and microstructure were investigated by means of OM, SEM and Image-pro Plus 5.0 software. The results show that the globularization behavior of needle-like secondary α in grains occurs easily than that of on grain boundary. The static globularization is sensitive to heat treatment temperature, which leads to a globularization rate of 95% at 850 ℃. While at 930 ℃, the globularization rate is unchanged and the grain growth is obvious with clearer grain boundaries. Finally, by using the Johnson-Mehl-Avrami-Kolmogorov equation to describe the static globularization kinetics of TA15 alloy, it is found that the globularization rate is increasing with increase of the heat treatment temperature and initial deformation, but the globularization rate increasing with the increasing of heat treatment time tends to be gradually slowed.
