Abstract

To obtain the stress-strain relationship of heterostructure laminated composite sheets accurately, the influence of the bonding zone was introduced. The microhardness test of the Ti-Al-stainless steel composite sheet made by hot rolling was conducted, and the microhardness values of each heterostructure layers and the bonding zones were obtained, the width of the bonding zones was determined. Based on the rule of mixtures and microhardness-stress relationship, a method for gaining the stress-strain relationship between the heterostructure layers and the bonding zone of Ti-Al-stainless steel composite sheets was proposed. Through uniaxial tensile test and theoretical analysis, the stress-strain relationship curves of heterostructure layers and bonding zones of composite sheets were obtained. The results show that the stress-strain relationship of the heterostructure layers and the bonding zones under the influence of the bonding zone can be obtained by the above method, the strength coefficient and strain hardening exponent of the bonding zone are between those of the heterostructure layers.
