N2 - Cold spraying(CS) is a solid-state rapid forming technology, and it has been used in additive manufacturing and repairing damaged aerospace parts. However, the inherent characteristic of cold sprayed deposits, i.e. high strength and low plasticity, limits its industrial applications. The new progress and application about cold spraying hybrid other processing technologies were reviewed in this paper, focusing on the following: cold spraying can not only hybridize with general manufacturing technologies, such as machining and shot peening, but also with the hot working and manufacturing technologies, such as laser, heat treatment, hot rolling, hot isostatic pressing, friction stir processing, friction stir welding and brazing, in order to improve the strength and plasticity of the cold sprayed deposits. The strength and plasticity of the cold sprayed deposits can be improved, and the coatings deposited by cold spraying can promote the weld of nonferrous metals. At last, it should be pointed out that further coordination of cold spraying with various machining processes and cold spraying hybrid welding technology needs to be paid more attention, aiming to expand the connotation of the conventional manufacturing.
