Variable Cycle Engine Modeling Based on MATLAB

摘要

Based on the analysis of the overall structure of the variable cycle engine, A fan component model and a core-driven fan stage model for distinguishing blade root characteristics from blade tip characteristics are established. According to the characteristics of the variable cycle engine, the steady-state and dynamic working equations reflecting the variation of variable geometry components are established. Referring to the establishment method of the component model of the dual-shaft turbofan engine, the variable cycle engine model is established based on MATLAB/Simulink platform. The established variable cycle engine model can be used for design point calculation, steady-state simulation and transition state simulation in single/double culvert mode. The simulation results show that the engine has low fuel consumption rate in the double culvert mode and is suitable for subsonic cruise flight. The unit thrust of the engine is high in the single culvert mode, which is suitable for supersonic cruise flight. It accords with the characteristics of variable cycle engine and verifies the feasibility of the modeling method.
